Laura is the principal osteopath at Ware Osteopathy Clinic, and she’s also the owner. She first discovered osteopathy when her husband tried it, having found little relief with conventional medicine for his back pain. Seeing the huge difference it made to him, she decided to leave her job at a multi-national company and retrain in osteopathy. She loves the rewarding nature of her work, as well as the flexibility and high standards she can set as owner of her own practice, and hasn’t looked back.
Laura studied osteopathy in Sydney, Australia and Auckland, New Zealand, before completing her Bachelor of Osteopathy degree at the British School of Osteopathy in London in 2008. After a year working in another practice, she opened Ware Osteopathy Clinic in 2009. For over ten years she has enjoyed treating patients from babies to older generations, using a wide range of osteopathic techniques, and she continually refreshes and builds on her skills. Laura also offers Western medical acupuncture to complement her osteopathic treatments where appropriate.
Having been a judo player at national level in her youth, Laura understands sports injuries and the drive sportspeople have to return to fitness as quickly as they can. Nowadays, as a mum of three, she really believes in the benefits osteopathic treatment can offer during and after pregnancy, as well as at any other time of life. Laura leads a full and busy life, and enjoys regular osteopathic treatment herself, saying “it keeps me going – I don’t have time not to be at 100%!
Laura sees patients at the clinic on Monday, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
